The tills on the market were built somewhere else, for somewhere else. They imagine fast broadband, single-currency cards, and shops that close at five. They don't imagine a load-shedding Tuesday, a lay-bye book three notebooks thick, or a customer who pays half in cash and half on Airtel Money.

We shall accelerate our transition to an upper middle-income economy status by creating a vibrant knowledge-based digital economy. We shall create incubation hubs in our academic institutions and research centers to commercialize our local innovations and heavily invest in research and development to encourage innovations.
